Meet Katy Boykin
Founder & Creative Director
I built my first website in 2015 because I needed one for my first online business and boy, did I learn a lot. A few years later, I launched a Christian lifestyle blog and fell in love with the blogging community.
Anytime someone had a question about their blog, I’d chime in to help. One thing led to another, and I started designing websites for other bloggers. That’s how DIY Dream Site started, completely by accident.
I taught myself everything from scratch with no coding background and no design degree, just a whole lot of Googling and late nights figuring things out. So I know exactly what it feels like to stare at your screen wondering why nothing looks right.
I eventually sold my blog, went all-in on web design, and built a six-figure boutique web design agency in just 18 months. After a few years of success building websites exclusively with KadenceWP, I joined their team as Marketing Manager and was promoted to Senior Product Marketing Manager in ten months, leading KadenceWP plus two additional WordPress brands including SolidWP and StellarSites. That experience taught me what makes tools truly great and what frustrates users most.
But I missed working directly with business owners like you. So I came back! Today everything comes back to one thing: making sure your website is the foundation your entire online business is built on, not just something pretty that doesn’t do anything for you.
