At DIY Dream Site, we’ve been designing Kadence child themes and block templates for years. And as a former marketing manager at KadenceWP, I’ve looked at a lot of Kadence themes on the market, and they vary more than you’d think.
In this post, I’m breaking down my top picks for Kadence child themes and block template collections. I’ll cover options for every budget and style, including our own themes like Brie (perfect for food bloggers) and Milo (ideal for coaches and service providers), plus options from creators like Restored 316, Hearten Made, and others.
Whether you’re a blogger, coach, course creator, or online business owner, you’ll find a theme that fits your brand and helps you launch faster.
Before you buy any Kadence theme, ask these questions:
- Is it fast? Page speed affects your user experience, SEO results, and ad revenue. Not all themes are optimized for Core Web Vitals.
- Does it meet accessibility standards? Your site should work for everyone, including visitors using screen readers. A lot of theme creators make pretty designs, but they’re not always accessible to everyone.
- Does it include the pages you actually need? Most themes will give the essential pages like home, about, and contact, but many bloggers and businesses need industry-specific pages. Check to make sure it has the majority of page designs you need, otherwise you’ll have to invest in other website template libraries or build them from scratch yourself.
- Is it designed with strategy in mind? Do the hero sections on each page have calls to action before scrolling down the page? Are the pages laid out with sales psychology and conversion principles in mind? Do the pages end without calls to action? If you want your website to work for you even when you’re not working, the templates need to do more than just look pretty.
I can only speak to the themes we build at DIY Dream Site. I know that every one is optimized for speed, meets accessibility standards, and includes more than just the essential pages so you can actually launch quickly. If those things matter to you, start with our themes.
That said, there are other talented creators in the Kadence space worth knowing about. Here’s a breakdown of what each one is known for:
- Restored 316 — Feminine, light & airy aesthetic
- Creativist Studio — Bold, modern designs with WooCommerce focus
- JP Blocks — Templates for affiliate bloggers
- Brand & Build — Custom CSS styling for designers
- Hearten Made — Budget-friendly options

What Are Kadence Child Themes?
Kadence Child Themes are essentially like buying a website in a box. Purchasing one allows you to import a full website design, including the Theme’s customizer settings, pages, posts, and demo images.
Some child theme creators also build in custom CSS to the child theme files to make it easy for users to get a custom-looking design without having to mess with the code.
Do I Need A Child Theme With Kadence?
Technically, no. Most users don’t need a child theme. The creators of the Kadence Theme expertly developed the theme to be easily customizable through the WordPress Customizer settings alone.
You can read more about why you’d need a Kadence child theme here.
If you decide to use a Kadence child theme, you’ll most likely use it for aesthetics and to take advantage of design shortcuts!
What Are Kadence Blocks Templates?
Kadence block templates are collections of pre-designed sections and full-page templates that can be imported into the WordPress editor on any page or post on your site.
If you don’t need or want a full child theme, prebuilt blocks are a great way to hand-select the templates that work best for your business.
I personally love using Kadence blocks because it allows me to extend the functionality of the Gutenberg editor and function more like a page builder!
Why Buy a Child Theme or Template Collection?
If you’re wondering if a template is the right blog or business investment for you, consider the following reasons before buying:
1. Save Time/ Launch Quickly
By purchasing a child theme or template collection, you can save hours and launch quickly! Building a page design from scratch can take a lot of time, especially when tweaking the design settings for desktop, tablet, and mobile views for each page.
2. Get a Beautiful Design
If you don’t have an eye for design, buying a template can ensure that your website looks professional, even if you’re setting it up yourself.
🔥 Before you purchase though, make sure the theme or template infuses solid marketing and conversion strategies and doesn’t just look pretty! You want a site that will work for your business long-term.
3. Save Money
Compared to hiring a designer, templates and themes don’t require a huge upfront investment but can still tell your brand story well and allow you to focus on serving your audience well.
Where To Buy Kadence Child Theme & Template Designs
If by now you think investing in a theme or a template is right for you, I highly recommend you check out the following creators:

Why choose DIY Dream Site over other Kadence themes?
We’re one of the only theme shops run by someone who actually worked at KadenceWP. That means our themes are built the right way, optimized for performance, and designed to grow with your business.
Restored316 Designs

Lauren at Restored 316 is one of the first creators to embrace Kadence child themes fully. Her company creates feminine WordPress themes to help female entrepreneurs and bloggers build a beautiful and professional online presence!
If you love the light and airy design aesthetic, consider purchasing a Kadence Child Theme from Lauren. She has helpful theme support docs to assist you with the installation and customization process.
Restored 316 also offers block collections as well. If you love the look of a child theme but don’t want to commit to purchasing the entire theme, you can get one of her theme collections. They also offer conversion callouts for bloggers and funnel bundles that match certain theme designs as well!
Brand&Build.Me

This next block collection may be my absolute favorite!
I’ve had the privilege of working with Michelle, the creator of Brand&Build.me, on a handful of custom Website Design Projects, and can honestly say, she’s brilliant!
If you are looking for unique Kadence block designs that are customized with CSS, Michelle delivers! When you import one of her blocks onto your page, she also includes instructions right on the page that tells you how to modify the CSS to customize it even more to fit your brand.
If you are a beginner and aren’t comfortable with CSS, this may be too overwhelming and advanced for you. If you are somewhat comfortable modifying a little bit of CSS with guidance and/or are a Web Designer trying to achieve more custom-looking design for client projects, you’ve got to subscribe to the B&B Blocks Library! It’s just $14.99 per month – so affordable for what you get!
While the designs are totally amazing on the front end, there is one downside: the back-end editor doesn’t reflect all of the CSS style changes, so it can look funky on the editor screen. That’s just “par for the course” with custom development in WordPress though.
Hearten Made

Hearten Made is another great place to get feminine WordPress themes. Carissa designs gorgeous, budget-friendly, and easy-to-use WordPress themes (built with the Kadence) that can be customized to fit your branding & help you launch your site within days. If you love a neutral, minimalist, or feminine aesthetic, you’ll love the Hearten Made themes.
JP Blocks (Formerly Start Blogging Blocks)

Start Blogging Blocks was created by Jake Pfohl and is such a unique Kadence Blocks collection. The SBB collection of Kadence blocks includes over 240+ premium wireframe block templates specifically designed for affiliate bloggers who want to turn their sites into selling machines.
In this design library, you’ll find section templates for pros and cons, FAQs, and product boxes, that make styling affiliate product review posts effortless. You’ll also find alert banners, conversion-focused button styles, a table of content section, and so much more.
If you’re an affiliate marketer or blogger, you’ve got to check out Start Blogging Blocks!
Creativist Studio

Creativist Studio offers a diverse collection of modern Kadence child themes with bold, creative designs. Their themes span multiple niches, from e-commerce and photography to yoga studios and travel blogs, so there’s something for almost any industry.
What sets them apart: They include free theme installation with every purchase, which is a nice touch if you don’t want to mess with setup yourself. Their designs lean modern and clean, with a focus on WooCommerce integration for online stores.
If you’re looking for something outside the typical “feminine blogger” aesthetic, Creativist Studio has some solid options worth checking out.

Final Verdict: Which Kadence Theme Should You Choose?
The other creators on this list each bring something different to the table — feminine aesthetics, affiliate-focused templates, bold modern designs, custom CSS options, and budget-friendly choices.
But if performance, accessibility, and a complete website out of the box matter to you, start with our themes. Every DIY Dream Site theme includes multiple pages that are tailored to the demo’s niche so you’re not left piecing things together, and because I spent years working at KadenceWP, our themes are built the way Kadence was meant to be used.
