Project Highlights
Design
For Milestone Mom, we needed to do more than refresh the look. The challenge was to seamlessly combine two sides of the business: educational resources for parents and a shop filled with printables. We created a custom design that aligned both missions while keeping the site simple, modern, and highly functional.
We also integrated a WooCommerce store directly into the site. Previously, the shop lived on Shopify, which created friction for visitors. With our design, the shop now runs on a dedicated subdomain that feels like a natural extension of the site. Parents can stay on Milestone Mom while browsing and buying worksheets without losing trust or speed.
Theme / Page Builder
We moved Ehrica from Elementor to the Kadence Theme and Kadence Blocks Pro. This eliminated clunky page builder issues and gave her a flexible framework she can manage herself long-term. Using Kadence Pro features like element hooks, we created space for courses, freebies, and category-specific content that will grow with her business.

About Milestone Mom
Milestone Mom was founded by Ehrica, a Pediatric Developmental Therapist and certified elementary teacher. Her mission is to help parents better understand their child’s development while also providing printables that support learning.
On the site, parents can:
- Learn practical developmental strategies for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Access workshops and courses that empower them with expert knowledge.
- Purchase printable worksheets and resources designed to make parenting and teaching easier.
Before this redesign, her website felt like “a mess” in her own words. She struggled to find a home for her ideas, freebies, and products. The new design gave her the foundation she needed to grow with clarity and confidence.

Initial Challenges
Before working with us, Ehrica described her site as unorganized and frustrating. She wanted:
- A place to build and sell courses, freebies, and printables.
- To move away from Elementor toward Kadence for a stronger, code-free foundation.
- A modern design that didn’t hold her back from creating new content.
- Better SEO practices to help her blog posts reach the right audience.
- A seamless shop that kept her brand under one roof, instead of splitting between her website and Shopify.
Deciding To Hire DIY Dream Site
Ehrica originally heard about DIY Dream Site from Grayson Bell of iMark Interactive, who manages her backend tech support. Grayson recommended Katy because of her expertise in Kadence and her ability to build a site that a client can confidently manage themselves.
As Ehrica said:
“#1 reason is that she was referred by Grayson, and I value his opinions. #2 I know she is a pro at Kadence. I knew I needed a website designed so that I could then take it over myself (instead of dealing with all of the coding stuff).”

What Ehrica Loves Most About The New Site
“Can I say everything??? After much patience on Katy’s part, we have 100% achieved the goal of seamlessly combining the printable side of my business with the developmental side.”
She loves that:
- Her site now has a strong foundation for freebies, workshops, and courses.
- It’s organized and easy to navigate for visitors.
- She can finally see a clear path to growing her business.
- SEO has improved because of a more strategic setup.
- Her WooCommerce store allows parents to shop directly without leaving her brand.
Transformation In Her Business
The redesign didn’t just change her website. It changed how she feels about her business:
- Before: She was embarrassed by her site and felt unmotivated.
- After: She feels proud, energized, and motivated to create new content, workshops, and courses.
“Honestly, the transformation has been within me. Just laying that solid foundation with my website was a huge building block in my business.”
Favorite Part Of Working Together
Ehrica emphasized the difference in working with DIY Dream Site versus past experiences:
- Katy stayed on top of tasks and deadlines.
- She gave professional input at every stage.
- She was proactive, sometimes reaching out to keep the project moving.
- She treated the business like her own, always looking for ways to make the site stronger.
“She was not in a hurry to just complete another project, but to make it exactly what I wanted and needed.
What Surprised Her Most
“How she went above and beyond for my business. I honestly felt that she adapted my business as her own. And her patience is incredible.”
Final Thoughts From Ehrica
Before the redesign, she said:
“I was honestly embarrassed by my website. If I felt unorganized in it, so did other people. And it hindered me from creating the courses and workshops that I wanted to.”
Now she says:
“I finally have a place to teach parents about their child’s development… a beautiful, simple, fully functioning site that will grow with me. And I get to keep everything under one roof instead of splitting my shop with Shopify.”
Her advice for anyone considering working with DIY Dream Site?
“That he/she should have hired Katy yesterday. You will be so happy to have Katy in your design space. She’s exceptional and goes above and beyond. I honestly found a gem.”
