The Adulting Starts Here redesign turned a personal passion project into a bold, vibrant, and engaging educational hub for young adults navigating the challenges of life after high school.

Donald Williams Jr., the founder, had been running his site as a DIY effort for several years — sharing valuable, practical content about finances, career skills, and independence. But while his message was strong, his design didn’t reflect his vision or professionalism.

Our goal was to create a modern, energetic, and confidence-inspiring website that matched Donald’s mission: helping people master adulthood one skill at a time. Built on the Kadence Theme, the new design uses bold color contrasts, clean typography, and dynamic visuals to make information-rich content approachable and engaging.

Initial Challenges

Before working with DIY Dream Site, Donald’s website was functional but uninspiring:

• His vision for a fun, modern learning hub wasn’t translating visually.

“After going the DIY route for a few years, I finally realized my vision for Adulting Starts Here. However, I did not have the skill set to bring it to fruition, so I started searching for someone who could help me bring my dream to life.”
